(Almost) Legendary Collector 2
The Legendary Collector pledges are all gone! We have added a new pledge Legendary level that is the same as the original Legendary, except it includes Season One retail edition instead of Season One Champion edition. All season two battle boxes in the pledge will of course be Champion Edition.
Roxley's Paul Saxberg wins the Ion Award!
Paul is Roxley's amazing community, convention, and customer support manager. He also happens to be a game designer. This weekend he went to SaltCon to demo various Roxley games, but also because his game, Seven Deadly Sins, was a finalist for the SaltCon Ion Award. Welp. He won! Huge Congrats from the whole team, Paul!

Major Funding Quest: Your Hero Your Way!

Hello folks! Much of our team is away at cons this week. Adam & Paul are at SaltCon, while Nate & Manny will be at Emerald City Comic Con (booth #621)! So if you are at either one, stop by and demo Dice Throne!
Some details about today's Major Funding Quest. In Season One, we offered an expensive pledge level that allowed a select few people to help co-create heroes with our development team. This experiment was a great success, and many of the heroes that came from this appear in Season Two! So, we really wanted to do it again. However, we wanted to open up the program to allow ALL our backers to exercise their creativity. So we thought, why not run a competition?
The winner of this competition will have an opportunity to collaborate directly with Nate, Manny and the rest of the talented Team Roxley to create the hero of their dreams.
Creating a hero takes a lot of effort from our team. If you win, we will collaborate with you to create conceptual art, graphic design, illustrations, as well as design the hero abilities and/or its dynamics. You will also receive an avatar of your your hero that you can use as a badge of honor forever. The runners up will receive a Roxley anthropomorphic avatar!
Your Hero, Your Way process!
When Your Hero Your Way FQ is unlocked,
1) We will launch a Google Form that will allow you to submit your hero idea. We will set a strict deadline for submission and also launch an update when the form is made available. There will be a limit of 1 entry per backer. Because we will need to traverse many submissions, you will have to communicate why your hero is awesome with short descriptions.
2) From these submissions, Roxley and the Dice Throne development team will pick a handful of submissions that we feel show the most promise in the following categories:
fun & interesting mechanics
allows for exciting illustrations and graphic design
opportunity to create lore around the hero that fits into the Dice Throne universe
3) From the finalists, the community will vote for their favorite Hero concept.
4) We will tally votes and reveal the winner. Shortly after the campaign ends, we will reach out to you and start the process of collaborating with us to create this new Hero.
5) later this year, we will release a Print and Play Version of the winning hero, that can be downloaded by all backers.
6) If we feel this hero really cuts the mustard, it may even be included as part of the roster for a future Season.

Vampire Lord Unlocking! Emerald City Comicon This Week!

Hello everyone. It's been an amazing week, thanks to your support. At this very moment, Dice Throne is currently the highest grossing Tabletop Game on Kickstarter, second only to the RPG book: Strongholds and Followers! This is all thanks to you amazing people. Manny & Nate will be in Seattle exhibiting at Emerald City Comicon this weekend! We’ll be selling the final copies of Dice Throne Season One (retail) by MBG that will ever exist. We’ll also be playing all day and will even have some time to beta test Season Two heroes. Shout out to Daniel Tolczyk, Landon Rawson, Nikolas Tsolomitis, and Jake Wright for joining us in the booth! We are excited to finally reveal the final hero, the Vampire Lord! We just launched this Major Funding Quest not even two days ago, and she is already half way unlocked! Incredible! Congrats to everyone that solved the easter egg hunt!

Artificer Component Reveal! A New Challenger Funding Quest Tomorrow?

What an amazing week we've had. So much engagement from this amazing community, much of which was centered around discovering the secret of who the next hero is. That's right, our team has devised an Easter Egg in this campaign where you can actually have an early look at the final hero, who's funding quest will be launching tomorrow.
The first person to discover this secret was a member of our Facebook group: Tim Chatterton! NICE WORK MAN!!! Also, good job to the many others who have also figured it out, and thank you for not spoiling it for others! We are seriously impressed with your ability to keep a secret. :) If you want to put the pieces of the puzzle together yourself, have a look on the campaign page for hints (marked like this "#1"). If that's not your jam, no problem - we will be revealing the final hero with tomorrow's Major Funding Quest!
The Artificer
Today we are most excited to reveal the Artificer! The Artificer is a hero for those of us who like engine building. The Artificer starts the match slowly, but as he crafts more and more Bots, he starts a snowballing economy of damage, eventually overwhelming his opponent. He's a character you really have to put down fast. If you are into complex challenges with heavy decisions, this is the hero for you.

Cursed Pirate Two-Sided Hero Board
Without further ado, check out the Pirate's two-sided hero board! At the conclusion of each of her turns, she must remove a Cursed Doubloon token from her board. If she cannot (because they are all gone), then she must flip her hero board over for the remainder of the game. It makes for a very unique experience and we can't wait for you to get your hands on her! Note: as with all S02 heroes, they are still undergoing balance changes and are subject to tweaks as we continue with this process.
